IIWF 2009
The India International Wine Fair 2009 well established itself in - its very first edition - as India’s most comprehensive international wine exhibition.
IIWF 2009 exceeded the wine industry's expectations, with more than 150 wineries and exhibitors from France, Italy, South Africa, New Zealand, Portugal, Thailand, Australia, Chile, India and Romania among others. Endorsements for IIWF include UBI France - The French Ministry of Trading Affairs, The Chile - India Chamber of Commerce, The Romanian Trade Commission and The Indo-Italian Chambers of Commerce.
Also present at IIWF were 12 premium chateaux from Bordeaux, unveiling the exquisite 2004 Grands Crus vintage. This exclusive tasting was the show highlight for sommeliers and wine enthusiasts who had the opportunity to taste the very best of Bordeaux and it’s finest terroirs. The 2004 Bordeaux Grands Crus Tasting was anchored by David Wrigley, Master of Wine, from the world’s finest wine education institute – Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), UK.

IIWF Inauguration
The India International Wine Fair was graciously inaugurated by the Master of Wine, David Wrigley,  WSET.  With a career focused on vocational education in the field of wines and spirits, David Wrigley has been a part of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), UK since 1990. WSET is the world’s leading provider of qualifications in the field of wines and spirits, with over 24,000 candidates each year preparing for one or other of 7 qualifications in 42 countries and 13 languages. David Wrigley has also judged wine competitions around the world and is a non-executive Director of the International Wine and Spirit Competition, chairing its Technical and Judging Committee. He also sits on the Education and Examination Board of the Institute of Masters of Wine.
India International Wine Summit
Addressing critical topics ranging from India’s stringent import procedures to the importance of wine education to capitalising on the high volume growth in the Indian wine market, speakers at the India International Wine Summit included industry figureheads - Aman Dhall, Angela Mount, Sanjay Menon, Abhaey Kewadkar, Vishal Kadakia and Rajeev Samant, among others.
2004 Bordeaux Grands Crus Tasting
Showcasing prestigious chateaux and domains from Bordeaux, this private tasting session was open to the industry’s wine merchants, wine club members and press and featured the exquisite 2004 Bordeaux Grands Crus - Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande, Château Durfors Vivens, Château Lagrange, Château Beychevelle, Château Lafon Rochet, Château Lynch Bages, Château Beaumont, Château Larrivet Haut Brion, Château de France, Château Rollan de By, Château Mayne Lalande and Château Dassault.
IIWF Wine Tastings
The IIWF Tastings was a day of free tasting for all visitors of IIWF, wines included Californian Wines, Wines from the South of France and our very own Grover Vineyards among others. Popluar wine labels at the tasting included Chäteau Batailley 2004, Château Beau Site 2004, Château Beaumont, Château Beychevelle, Secret de Dieux, Terra Casta Rouge, GH Martel Prestige, Charles de Cazanove, Grand Cru Engelberg, Cuvée 8, Devois des Agneaux, Le Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes, Château Saint Jacques d'Albas, Domaine La Ferrandière Malbec, Domaine La Ferrandière Viognier, Bulles de Blanquette, Toques et Clochers, Chäteau Auzias Cuvée Mademoiselle, Château de France and Château de Pitray, among others.
The IIWF Wine Trail and Networking Evening
Country tables showcasing the finest wines from across the world, a three course Indian cuisine dinner and an exclusive wine and Indian food pairing session hosted by India's top sommelier, Magandeep Singh awaited guests at the IIWF Wine Trail and Networking Evening not to mention the fine opportunity presented to interact with the industry’s most influential, respected and knowledgeable peers.

The IIWF Winemakers Dinner with Brindco & Taj
An evening of the finest 7 course cuisine paired with the exquisite Grands Crus de Bordeaux was hosted by IIWF & Brindco at the Taj Lands End and was attended by the Grands Crus wine makers, Taj & Brindco clientele, the city’s top sommeliers and press.
